Kiryat Malachi, the “City of Angels” is off the beaten path- located about an hour south of both Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem. It is a small city that supports a population of 22,000, mostly consisting of immigrants who began settling in the area as a ‘tent city’ in the 1950's. My assignment was to photograph the educational and social welfare programs supported by Partnership 2000, a consortium of Jewish Federations.
